SULFURIC ACID
Certificate of Analysis
Sulfuric Acid or what's commonly called sulphuric acid is a very important chemical commodity, the main use (60% of total world production) of sulphuric acid is in the "wet method" of the production of phosphate acid, which is used to make phosphate fertilizers and also phosphate trisodium for detergents. Sulphuric acid also has various uses in the chemical industry. For example, sulfuric acid is an acid catalyst that is commonly used to turn cyclohexanonoxym into caprolactam, which is used to make nylons. It's also used to make chloric acid from salt through the Mannheim process. A lot of H2SO4 is used in the extraction of Earth's oil, for example as a catalyst for isobutane reaction with isobutylene that produces isooctane.
