Certificate of Analysis
Sodium Sulphide is highly soluble in water, and the resulting solution is alkaline. Some of its uses are as follows:
- Leather Industry: Sodium sulfide is often used in the leather industry to clean hair and remove lime from animal hides during the tanning process.
- Mining: It is also used in the mining industry for ore flotation, where it helps separate valuable minerals from gangue.
- Water Treatment: Sodium sulfide is sometimes used in water treatment processes to remove heavy metals, such as copper and lead, through precipitation reactions.
