HYDROGEN FLUORIDE
Other products
Hydrogen Fluoride or what's commonly called fluoric acid has been used to etch and melt glass. Right now, the biggest use of fluoric acid is in aluminum production. Other uses of fluoric acid include uranium processing, earth oil alkylation, and the preservation of solid steel. Fluoric acid is also used to produce fluorocarbons used in aerosol spraying and refrigeration. Although fluorocarbons are strictly regulated because of environmental problems, other applications for fluorocarbons include resin making, filtering, staining, surfactants, and pharmaceuticals.
