Ethyl Acetate is a volatile, non-toxic, non-hygroscopic semi-polar molecule. The use of ethyl acetate instead of as a solvent, ethyl acetate has other functions such as as as additives to increase the number of octanes on petrol and can function as a useful chemical precursor.
